Privacy Policy

1. (Scope) The Privacy and Personal Data Protection Policy, complementary to the Terms and Conditions of Use, is intended to regulate the processing of personal data to be actioned by JOBRA – Associação de Jovens da Branca (JOBRA) following the use of this website.
2. (Responsible for processing) JOBRA – Associação de Jovens da Branca, a public non-profit institution, with headquarters at Centro Cultural da Branca, Rua do Barro Branco, parish of Branca, municipality of Albergaria-a-Velha, post code 3850-564, and holder of the tax identification number 501 685 596.
3. (Collected data): (1) Data provided directly by the owner; (2) Data collected within the framework of the relationship established with the owner of such data; (3) Personal data requested from the owner and processed with their consent;
4. (Object) The processing of personal data includes, namely, the registration, collection, consultation, use, adaptation, alteration, storage, data destruction, among other operations.
5. (Purposes) The use of the data collected is for the following purposes, namely: (1) to provide services requested by the owner; (2) to provide information on products, services, marketing activities, campaigns, promotions, statistical purposes and personalised content, subject to prior consent to this effect.
6. (Legislation) JOBRA guarantees the processing of personal data in accordance with the legislation in force concerning their collection, processing, use, disclosure, storage and privacy.
7. (Non-processed data) JOBRA will not process personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs or trade union membership, as well as the processing of genetic data, biometric data to unequivocally identify a person, data concerning health or data concerning the person´s sex life or sexual orientation.
8. (Registration) By accessing, using or enjoying our services, and in the act of registration referred to in point 6. of the TERMS OF USE the user agrees to the privacy policy and protection of personal data of JOBRA, giving their consent to the collection and processing of their data for the purposes referred to in point 5 by providing them directly. Failure to provide or partial provision of personal data by the holder may limit or make it impossible to perform the services.
9. (Collection) Personal data may only be collected if: (1) the user registers on the website; (2) the data subject requests a service, responds to a survey, requests further information about a programme via a form and/or chatbot or exchanges electronic correspondence with JOBRA.
10. (Consent to receive information) The data subject will give their prior consent to receive commercial communications for marketing purposes, with the right to object at any time by giving written notice to JOBRA. Such commercial information may be sent by JOBRA, via e-mail, telephone, SMS or any other means of electronic communication, social networking websites, Web 2.0, or any mobile phone method.
11. (Transmission) Apart from the obligations referred to in the applicable Data Protection Act or to safeguard and protect its own interests, JOBRA will not share any personal data with third parties.
12. (Technical and organizational measures) JOBRA has appropriate technical and organizational measures in place to protect the data being processed, in particular against unauthorized access or any other form of illegal or unlawful processing. JOBRA guarantees, in addition to the internal security and protection measures in its facilities, the limitation of access to personal data to its employees only for the fulfilment of the purposes of processing.
13. (Access, Modification and Deletion) The data subject shall have the right to access and rectify the data being processed and may at any time withdraw consent to the processing and request the deletion of the data by written communication addressed to JOBRA.
14. (Duration of data retention) JOBRA will use reasonable endeavours to ensure that it retains data about the subject data only for as long as is necessary in relation to the purpose for which the data was collected, or as required under any contract or applicable law, for a maximum period of five (5) years or indefinitely if the data is collected for academic purposes.
15. (Applicability) The privacy and personal data protection policies of JOBRA apply to the processing of personal data carried out in the course of its commercial activities and its provision of services, in accordance with the principles of lawfulness, fairness and transparency.
16. (Cookies) – JOBRA may use cookies on its website to improve the quality of service, functionality and user experience, but not for profiling purposes. 17. (Automated decisions) JOBRA will not make any business decisions based on automated decisions, nor will it take any action leading to profiling.
18. (Control Authority) The control authority is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), with headquarters at Rua de São Bento n. º 148-3º 1200-821 Lisbon.
